Advances in computer science and engineering will continue to accelerate. The rise of the Internet and the World Wide Web, the Browser Wars, Search Engines, Cable Modems, Networked PCs, the fusion of computing and communications technologies is creating far reaching changes in the way we work, live, and even the way we think. To be competitive in such a dynamic environment, today’s graduates are expected to be challenged daily to keep pace with the technical and managerial issues and opportunities surrounding the research and development and the needs of users.
Information is the lifeblood of an organization. As managers, people will depend on accurate, accessible and useful information. They expect from the scientists and technologists to make the computers more responsive to their unique information needs so as to empower them to think and act strategically, develop effective plans, and make decisions that increase their own and their organization’s competitiveness.
The aim of our Computer Science Department is to train and develop professionals for local and global markets. The expanding market of software and capability of future hardware systems have no bound. To meet the challenges of the new millennium one must remain abreast about the latest developments in the field of computer technology and focused in the right direction.
