224 Bachelors, 333 Masters degrees awarded
The Bahria University, Karachi Campus conferred 224 bachelors and 333 masters degrees in various disciplines including BBA, BSE, BCE, BS, MSc,, MS, MAB, and executive MBA on its passing out graduates of 2007 and 2008 in its 5th convocation held on Saturday, May 9, 2009.
It also awarded 14 gold, 8 silver medals and 4 merit certificates to its outstanding students who had secured top positions in different disciplines.
Acting Governor and Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro presided over the ceremony and delivered the keynote speech. He said that he had great expectations from young graduates not only as students but also leaders of tomorrow. He expressed his hope that these students will serve this country with optimum honesty and dedication and would steer it forward among the most developed countries of the world.
Bahria University Rector, Vice Admiral (retd) M. Haroon, BUKC Director, Captain (retd) Ashfaq Agha, Members of the Board of Governors, faculty members and a large number of students and their parents were also present on the occasion.
Bahria University Rector, Vice Admiral (retd) M. Haroon said that the university had taken many initiatives which were reflected in its excellent academic strength and standing. The impressive campuses, academic infrastructure, disciplined environment, high quality –teaching faculty and competent administration are indicators of excellence and have brought Bahria University at par with other top notch universities of the country.
BUKC Director, Captain (retd) Ashfaq Agha said that the recent addition of MBA in Pharmaceutical Business Management for the very first time in Asia was the sign of the university’s commitment with its students and the nation.
